You should find towing a bit more of a pleasure with a Freelander 2. Just go easy on the clutch especially if reversing, it's a tad high geared, a mover may be better for you if you haven't one already, especially if it's an uphill reverse. |

well weekend went well.well chilled now and what a great tow car the fl2 is good relaxing drive there and back and fuel con was not to bad either,another pleased owner |

I have to agree with you,we took our van out for the first time last weekend since buying the car in December I was a bit nervous but everything was fine.I towed with a D2 before but the freelander 2 is much nicer tow car.

i can't say anything pro or anti for the auto because i have not used one to tow with but i like the manual box,did the towing very well with my van on the back. didn't tow far 40 miles there and back going a bit further next time so will let you know.
