Driving home this morning, I met a FL2 (unsure of age but looked newish) with headlights on but the lights were in the grill (indicated by the red circles in my pic below (not the actual FL2 natch... ))

This is new to me. Is it a standard item to have headlights (DRLs?) on a FL2?

I would say someone fitted aftermarket DRLs.

Wasn't an undercover Cop Car was it?, they're often hidden in the front grill.

could be the rozzers, i remember seeing a silver FL2 at an event that was a undercover plod mobile with blue LED flashers within the grille

Are those DRL's in the picture above legal?

My understanding is that the inside edge of DRL's must be a minimum of 600mm apart?

Hard to judge without measuring it.......but it looks very close.....

The FL2 I saw with the front lights as shown were deffo white, not blue and the driver / passenger didn't look like cops.

I'd have thought that lights in that position were dodgy... in poor lighting in a situation where you have to react quickly, you may well take the lights to be defining the outside edges of the car and just drive into it?

Anyway it's a bl dy radiator grill... no-one builds a car with lights IN the grill... do they?  ...
