2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black
Airbox wobble (with video)

Ive had this annoying rattle for a while at low revs, originally thought it was coming from inside the car, but when I opened the passenger side window, it was obviously external. Managed to track it down to the air box.... the tube going into the air box had split, and was held together with a cable tie. Have managed to bodge this back together, but noticed that the air box has a lot of play in it. There are some rubber dampers at the mounting points, so presumably a little play is normal, but this much???

Might have to click pic for video

Completely normal, mine's only a few months old and while removing the nearside headlight to upgrade lamp it had as much 'wobbliness' as that.

Also look under the battery cover. There's a metal plate attached to the bulk head.
