Just got back from the dealers after my first service. Happy with the price - under £300 all in, which isn't bad for the South East, I gather. Invoice included the usual unnecessary screenwash and a dose of Wurth Diesel Treatment for £13.95 + VAT. Anybody any experience of this stuff. Should I make a fuss next time and tell them not to bother?

(Same with the complimentary litre of oil which was charged at £13 , but as its cheaper than halfrauds, I'm not too bothered) Fuji White MY13 SD4 Dynamic

I personally think that garages are out of order charging for stuff you didn't ask for and is not specified on the service schedule. John

LR are a bit funny over fuel additives, is Wurths on the approved list

I have used Wurth diesel treatment, & can confirm it does work well. My wife, who never drives her car hard, always has a problem with emmisions at mot time, so this helps clean the system.
The mechanic/technician advised, that on the way to an mot in future, to hoof the car in lower gears, to to clean out the sooty deposits left by driving it gently.
