I would go with dirty throttle body, or broken throttle body |

Mine had some teeth missing from the plastic gears - these aren;t available seperately which is why a new TBH was needed

had a spare hour today, took the throttle body off and it was stuck tapped it and it came loose. put it all back together and the engine stopped ok twice then it jammed again. will order part on Friday £106 delivered could of been worse! Thanks everyone for the advice. |

Did you look at the teeth or did you just clean the flap? |

no I didn't look at the teeth, I didn't want to take it apart and not be able to put it back together on xmas eve. my partner would think I did it on purpose to get out of seeing relatives !. when the new throttle body comes I will take the old one apart just to see the problem. if I can repair it I will have a spare. |

fitted new throttle body today it has done the trick. fl2 no longer shudders when switch off, only took 30mins to fit. Took the old one apart and sure enough two teeth had sheared off and jammed in the gearing so I wont have a spare now. |
