Epic Movie Scene

Being a big movie fan (lots of comic book type films such as Avengers are on the list), I do find that every so often there is a simply mind blowing scene in a film and not just down to special effects. I also like non-comic films such as No Country For Old Men or Skyfall. Then there's classics such as Unforgiven or the Spaghetti Western Trilogy.

There have been some fantastic scenes in recent years such as Bond driving the DB5 through the Scottish Mountains in Skyfall or Hulk smashing up Loki in Avengers Assemble. My absolute favourite simply has to be this one from Man of Steel (if you haven't seen the film yet, make sure you watch it):

Why the Skyfall moment? Just curious.

If you like that then do you like the Local Hero film? I know its a bit shortbread and tartan, but some bits were closer to the truth than many think.

The DB5 is one of my all time fave cars and the stunning scenery and the importance of that scene in the context of the film just made it outstanding for me.

I must confess I haven't see local hero but my dad likes it LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

The exact location for the DB photo is Glencoe. You take the A82 south from there and drive thro' the Glen, as you approach the left hand junction for the Kingshouse Hotel, you take the right hand single track road opposite and drive down there about a mile, you've then arrived where they filmed it. Thumbs Up it's the solitude and countryside that make it special.

Yes, Local Hero is worth a watch. Think the film is only a fiver from your local HMV store.
