I'm in same situation, always used Halfords, but I think they have changed the formula over the years and it just is not as effective as it used to be, and in fact I think it actually causes streaking, etc

Sonax Clearview is the best I have used. No antifreeze in it though, so summer use only.

I have been using this for the last 3 weeks, and given the price point, I have to say that I am very impressed with the results. There is very little that I could possibly endorse that comes out of Hell-frauds, but this particular product is the exception to the rule! Sonax also do a winter screenwash which I'm trying. It's not been cold enough to try out it's antifreeze properties but it seems to be as good as the summer version as screenwash. |

I used to use Hellfrauds but it's nowhere near as good as it used to be. Firstly it doesn't clean and remove road grime as it used to, and secondly at one point they were messing about with the propan-2-ol content (iso-propyl-alcohol) which made it less antifreeze. Still marketed it as original formula which I had a moan about and now they seem to have gone back. Even so when the weather gets really cold it still freezes up even using it neat which gets expensive.

I use the Lidl stuff too and I think it is the best I have ever used. It's called 'speedwash' but they only sell it in winter so I get a stock in for the summer. I dilute to about 1.5 water to 1 screenwash as the A12 is particularly greasy. This shifts it though. 12MY 61plate FL2 TD4 auto GS Orkney Grey Roof spoiler full size spare

I been using Halfords screen wash for years but got some Audi own screen wash for free recently and with the right mix you can get it down to -70 before it freezes Mine is 50/50 mix which is -30 but I can't say it's any better the Halfords own. |

I did see somewhere that the Lidl\Aldi branded concentrate comes in a bottle that looks suspiciously like the Sonax bottle! |

Used the Lidl stuff for the past year. The concentrate on a 1:1 is something like -60 degrees. On a 1:3 ratio, protection down to -10 degrees. Think it's roughly 」7 for two or three litres. |

I use the pink stuff from Wilko's. 3 quid for 2.5 litres. Works down to -22. I didn't have any problems with it last winter and so far this last couple of months it's been fine. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

I use the said lidl screen wash in the winter, great stuff and unlike all the others that let me down when I got down to -14 a couple of years back, the lidl stuff even when diluted 2-1, still won't freeze in my freezer!! |

The local garage to my old Swedish place used to sell the winter screenwash stored in a freezer to prove it was OK. It was never frozen.
