Are the fog lights canbus ?

As it says really, I know that compared to the dipped beam they are run through a relay, so how can they be 'sensed' in the normal canbus manner of pulsing a small current through them?

Reason of asking is if I wanted to fit different form of light in there would they need to be canbus types? Thinking of HiD in there.

England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Baltic Blue

Don't know about Canbus but on my 07 GS they are h11. Was looking at upgrading them but h11 are much more expensive and with little or no pattern to them I've never found them to be much good for anything so haven't bothered!

Just the other day was the first time that I found fog lights useful ... in the heavy rain where the road and a lot of standing water, they helped see the water puddles noticeably better.

Might just buy a cheap set and see what happens....
