Full Service

I was at my local LR dealer a few days ago picking up a few parts I ordered and mentioned I'll be needing a service after the new year. They suggested it'll be a full service since my FL2 is at 85,000 miles. Stupidly, I forgot to ask the price of a full service.

Does anyone know what sort of price I'll be faced with? (dreading the answer Big Cry )

Do they give you a courtesy car or something whilst the service is being done, or can I just wait? Unsure if I'll need to arrange for a friend to accompany me in their car so I can get home. The dealer is some 15 miles away.

Would it be wise to get anything extra done whilst the car is there? Timing belt, oil change etc. Not sure if an oil change is included in the full service but if not, I'll ask to have it done anyway. Not really sure exactly what a full service involves to be honest.

Have never bothered with servicing on my pervious crappy cars but my FR2 is my pride and joy so I want to look after it. Would rather get this full service done by LR themselves then any interim services after that by a specialist to save money.

Many thanks! Thumbs Up

A full service will include an engine oil change. Your dealer should be able to give you a service sheet so you can see what is done. On the matter of price contact them and ask how much they charge. If you ring around others you will have some idea if it is competetive. Most dealers will discount if asked!! Smile
