As always, another one of my useful bargain spots to offer!! Basically I'd been looking for something like this just to illuminate the rear of the Landy a bit better when stopping in the country lanes for accidents/snow/animals etc. To be honest, it's one of those 'just in case' items, but I find people always turn to us 4x4 owners!

16 LED's, different flashing patterns, bomb proof and magnetic. We now use these at work, pack of 6 in a charging case so they are pretty good. We've got 6 cases!! But under the brand 'megaflare'. These RAC units look to be the same spec, I've just ordered two.

Postage is £3.99 but its still less that the normal retail price. Have ordered 2.

They are very good, picked up 3 for the van "MegaFlare version" available from Costco in a pack of 3 for £21.
Although the Costco version are not rechargeable they use a single CR123A lithium cell "batteries included" and can accept an equivalent rechargeable cell if required, although CR123A's are available cheap enough online.

Are Costco stocking them now? Can't see them on website

Picked up my pack a couple of months back, last saw them at Costco about 1 week before Christmas and they had plenty left. Going tomorrow, so will check.

I'll do a little review of the RAC ones, but looks like they have repackaged the megaflare/powerflare ones to be fair.

Yes! Still got them although around half of the supply they had a couple of weeks back. Costco product code 725987 and a slight price increase to £22.78 inc vat for a pack of three (yellow). Made a mistake with the product name, they are actually branded as 'Maxflare' not 'Megaflare' but are the same thing http://themaxflare.com/

Costco stores and Costco website have a lot of differences. You'll see things in the stores that you can't find on the site and vice versa. I'd phone your local store quoting the above stock code if it's more than a few miles away.

These are really good.

I got one for £15 from IAM some time ago and then bought one for my wife and each of our boys and a daughter-in-law.

Far better than a warning triangle as they don't get blown over by a passing truck (as I saw on the hard-shoulder of the M1 on Sunday night) and they have a built in "torch" mode as well that's useful for wheel changing
