What is it with these crap Powerful Uk mudflaps?????

I have come to the conclusion that these Powerful Uk mudflaps are plain cheap and nasty.

Firstly, the rear ones broke around the top screw hole. But I managed to fix this. Woke up this morning to find one of the front ones has split from top to bottom and broke around both screw fittings.

Then a 2" piece has broken away from the mounting point at the bottom of the mudflap. The cold weather appears to have made them go brittle!!

Total and utter cheap crap!!

Rant over! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Got mine off ebay just under 4 years ago. Transferred them to this car a couple of years back and still look like new.

That's my philosophy Thumbs Up

They may look the same but are cheaper for a reason, though LR could charge a bit less for the OEM ones. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

The chances of the Powerful UK flaps coming from the same supplier is very remote. These have just gone brittle in the cold. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Sorry to hear about yours Mav, such a pain when you go with something your not sure about and find you waisted your money, that now means LR flaps are costing you more once you put the price of the PUk on top Thud

The only trouble I have had with mine was that day I took a corner a bit to quick on the way to pick my wheels up and drove over a 3ft bush and lost the o/s back one Whistle
no trouble since then, they even stand up to a good jet washing and a hard scrub BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

I am off for a couple of weeks now, so 'IF' we see some dry weather, I'll take it off and repair it. Plastic welding normally does the trick. The only downside is if I make the broken part stinger, the rest may be even weaker! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather.
