2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Sumatra Black

knocking noise when turning left or right

Hi.
Can you help.
I am getting a knocking noise when turning left or right from the rear diff area is this a diff mount of something more?
Please help.

2010 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Sumatra Black

Hi,
I had this problem, Berkshire Land Rover (indie) said I needed a new diff (£1200). Rovertune in Reading refurbed the diff using LR kit, £460 - they are all ex LR guys. They do 5-10 a week, the bearings break up inside the diff. The fix they do at Rovertune is the LR fix and should be good for the life of the car.

I have also been told it could be a bush or mount lets hope so. lee
