Nice one!

I'm still a bit on the fence with the evoque. I want to like it but am resistant for some reason. I like the shape - although I think it suits the bigger RRS more - and the interior looks a good step up from the FL2.

Happy motoring Smile

Look wise the interior is good, but in terms of build quality it's poor the Fl2 is far better. My fear is LR will continue to use these Eco plastics, which feel cheap and flimsy, on the baby disco.

A great car none the less though Thumbs Up 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Ah ok - that's a shame re quality. Must admit I've never actually driven in an evoque.

I made that same aesthetic judgement when I saw snaps of the MY13 FL2 interior but then had one for a week recently and was a little disappointed with the quality feel vs my FL2 (2011). FL2 2011 SD4 XS in Galway Green

My impression is that the FL2 interior is way more plasticky (MY 12) than the Evoque. 2013 RR Evoque Pure Tech

My Evoque had endless interior creaks, far more than the 3 Fl2s I've had put together. The glovebox is very flimsy, the centre console is hollow topped with thin plastic that just creaks, my Eco stop/start never worked properly, the near side A-pillar suffered terrible wind noise at speed a common fault apparently.

Having said that though my car was an early build (Dec 2011) a lot of these things should be ironed out, it's still a brilliant car, and despite a few short comings I enjoyed every minute with the Evoque. As I ordered before launch i was treated to all the VIP drive events and launch party it was a good experince and worth the 6 month wait, well 2 years if you count putting my deposit on the LRX concept then changing to a 11MY FL2 then re ordering the Evoque once it was confirmed.

I'm sure you will enjoy every minute with the Evoque, it feels unlike any other LR, almost car like. If Nene Overland can do me a coupe commercial conversion I may be back to one the end of next year Wink 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200
