I've read that some cars with this issue require new windscreens to be fitted with new sensors attached. Hope this isn't the case for you but probably worth checking with LR all the same. Whereabouts unknown stop going to follow stream until reach civilisation stop message ends |

in real i need to fix a frame in which the sensor is clipped. frame is in metal. what kind of glue to fix it to the glass you suggest... and again the question: the silicon lenses are dry at yours cars, or it require some grease - contact liquid. |

Did you resolve this issue? I have similar problem - the rain sensor clips into the metal frame which is in turn bonded to the windscreen. However, I can see from the outside that there is an air gap between the glass and the soft silicon pad on the front of the sensor. I have used vaseline to try to eliminate the air gap (as I believe this would have significant effect on the capacitance being sensed). |
