My advice would be to maintain 2 sets of wheels and tires. For myself I've made the decision to have a separate set of winter wheels 16" rim with 225/70 studded tires (might not be legal in every country). !6" aftermarket aluminum rims are cheaper than the tires you put on. At least in Sweden the rims will look like crap anyway after a seasaon of mixed snow, sand and salt. |

I'm not sure if they would fit on the stock 19" rims of the LR2, but I don't think it would be a good idea to put a tire with a width of 255 on a rim taht normally takes 235. You might get some rubbing on the inside when turning your wheel. |

As Brasco says I think there may be issues with tyre rubbing with just simply putting wider tyres on. Normally the offset of the rim changes slightly to componsate for wider tyres.
