I used a microfiber cloth on my last Freelander and it marked the surface.

I did the same Guinea within a few weeks of taking delivery of my new FL2 back in 2010. It caused a white mark/stain so I rang the dealer to complain that the mark had always been there and wouldn't come off. Low and behold, they changed the dash top under warranty.

I thought microfibre cloths were soft ! I've just vacuumed mine with a brush attachment and can't see anything to worry about ! |

Technically it was their fault anyway. There was a small white mark on the dashboard top which I tried to remove with said cloth but it made it much worse. If it wasn't for the iffy mark, I wouldn't have been able to make it worse so LR can have the blame LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby LOT (Lord of Time) - University of Gallifrey |

I just give mine a wipe with a microfibre cloth that is just damp from a very very weak soap solution |
