Had to change my wheel yesterday after getting a steel hook embedded in one of my tyres. had fun and games trying to put everything back in the boot but think I have misplaced one of the fixing 'threads'? I have the long thread that goes through the spare tyre and connects to the bottom of the boot floor but is there another smaller thread that holds just the jack in place before the spare wheel is placed over the top? Not sure if I am going mad but think there was but damned if i can find it!!!! Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black

I think the foam insert finished 2008 or 2009, from then on the Jack was supplied with an Elastic Band around it to hold the Handle and Breaker Bar together then it's is placed in the middle of the share wheel well, spare wheel placed in, then the long threaded screw is fitted through the centre on the spare wheel, through the Jack holding everything in place, iirc. Isn't there a welded washer on the Threaded screw to clamp onto the Jack? p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

Mine is my10 but is exactly the same, a little hook type screw thingy to hold the jack with the support for the boot floor going in the spare threaded hole on the left. MY2014 SD4 XS

that's the same as mine on an 11 plate. If you carefully on the jack arms there is an arrow and a dot for lining up the opening to fit in the well correctly |

My one has the underfloor storage as I don't have a spare but it's still has a place for the jack even though there is no room for the spare. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200 |

It's not a massive space, but enough to keep bits and pieces in, tow ropes etc. I will get a pic tomorrow. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200 |
