What holds the Jack in place?

Had to change my wheel yesterday after getting a steel hook embedded in one of my tyres. had fun and games trying to put everything back in the boot but think I have misplaced one of the fixing 'threads'? I have the long thread that goes through the spare tyre and connects to the bottom of the boot floor but is there another smaller thread that holds just the jack in place before the spare wheel is placed over the top? Not sure if I am going mad but think there was but damned if i can find it!!!! Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black
Gone - 2014 BMW X3 M Sport Space Grey, faultless!

Not with my FL2 right now but I'm pretty sure the jack just sits in a polystyrene tray along with the wheel brace and locking wheelnut key.

I think the foam insert finished 2008 or 2009, from then on the Jack was supplied with an Elastic Band around it to hold the Handle and Breaker Bar together then it's is placed in the middle of the share wheel well, spare wheel placed in, then the long threaded screw is fitted through the centre on the spare wheel, through the Jack holding everything in place, iirc. Isn't there a welded washer on the Threaded screw to clamp onto the Jack? p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Here's what mine looks like shilen
As a Velcro strap with a welded washer on the Threaded screw holding it down -but mine is a MY08 so not sure if its any use seeing as you have a MY11 Whistle
Just realised I still have the original land rover camera in my boot Thumbs Up

that's the same as mine on an 11 plate. If you carefully on the jack arms there is an arrow and a dot for lining up the opening to fit in the well correctly

My one has the underfloor storage as I don't have a spare but it's still has a place for the jack even though there is no room for the spare. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

It's not a massive space, but enough to keep bits and pieces in, tow ropes etc. I will get a pic tomorrow. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Slaneydore,
Thanks for taking the time to post the pic.
I own a 58 FL2, it's the S model. Didn't come with a spare from new (gunk kit). I bought the landy when it was around 4 years old. I negotiated a spare & jack from the dealer. I don't have that threaded screw, that holds the jack into place though. I will have to see if I can make something or whether I could buy one form Landrover? Landy has now gone.
