Hiya - pictures will follow. I've just taken delivery of my latest eBay bike - a 1983 Suzuki SB200 in true time-warp condition. It's unrestored, only 4 previous owners, less than 18,000 miles registered. 200cc two-stroke twin that's a real blast from the past - drum brakes, kickstart, 4-speed box! I'm a teenager again (if only...........)

Yes indeed. Four gears instead of 5, drum brakes instead of disc, kick start only. Who cares, it's a working piece of history for under a grand! Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto

I loved my X5! It was 1983 and it was only 2 years old and it was absolutely fantastic The learner laws had just changed and all of a sudden all those L plated riders had to get shot of their 200's and 250's and you could pick them up for peanuts They are worth a darn site more now....

Two out of three Tigger - well done Spoked wheels, no rev counter but twin carbs. Should be getting a workshop manual in the post so I'll be a mine of even more useless info in no time! Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto

SB200 and Joyride both going well thanks. I'm happy with the light weight of both but do suffer a lack of long-distance comfort 'cos they're not really big enough for my 6'2" arthritic old body..........

Waaayyy back in 1980, the bike of my dreams was the, very closely related, Honda CB125T: I was only 16 at the time... I finally got to ride one in 1996. I was instructing at a training scheme in Newquay, when a learner turned up on a really nice one. When we'd finished, I asked (very nicely), if I could borrow it to take around the cones. Did it live up to my dreams? Actually, yes, it did. A great little bike, even though my regular bike at the time was a 900 Triumph triple. Still got that one Last edited by Tigger on 8th Dec 2013 5:17 pm. Edited 1 time in total |

My brother had a CB125T. I seem to recall that the rev counter red lined at 12000rpm
