Well it's goodbye from me.

Well folks, I have today parted with my Freely after nearly 60k miles and 7 years. Big Cry
I've left the Land Rover fold and gone for an Avensis. You watch it will snow now I've done that...lol.
I'm going to miss the old girl, it hasn't missed a beat and all it has cost me outside of the routine stuff was £30 for the electric tailgate switch. Having said that it's at the age/mileage where something could start kicking off but hopefully that may be a while off.
Don't know where it will finish up but if you see GF56SYA for sale somewhere do have a look at it.
Thanks to all of you guys for the many tips and good humour that I have picked up on over the years. Luckily, as I say I have not had anything like some of the problems that some of you have experienced, I guess that I was lucky.
Thanks also go to RCV (www.rcv.co.uk)who are near to Tonbridge, Kent. They have kept the car in fine fettle without any fuss over the last few years.
I will look in on the site from time to time to see how everyone is doing, so good luck and hope your Freely's behave themselves.
Cheers John.

You weren't the only one with no issues John. I have just sold mine after 6 1/2 years and she was ultra reliable! That was a 56 plate too.

Very sad to see her driven off, but felt so much better with a cheque for just under £13500 that I felt so much better! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Good luck with the new car, you might need it Toyota have been having a rough time lately with recalls. Which is very unusual for the Japanese. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

All the best Thumbs Up

Winter tyres will get you through all but deep snow and you will be saving a fair bit of money on running costs Very Happy LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
