Sat nav screen

This morning, I got into my Freebie, & found the sat nav screen seemed very dull, I can still make it out, (just) but its not as bright as it normally is.
Is it just a bulb gone off, or more serious?
Thanks guys & girls.

It has been known for them to be a little dim in the mornings this time of year, they come back to normal when warmed up. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

If you go into the setup screen and turn the auto dim off the screen becomes very bright.
Then in the evening after work you have to dim it down again as it is then too bright.

Nothing physically wrong with the screen, but a component that controls the dimming is temperature sensitive as well as light sensitive. Can't see LR changing everybodies Satnav screen for something they have known about and ignored for years. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
