MOT/power steering

Just had my 08 FL2 in for it mot yesterday, went thru no problem at all but soon as I got in it to drive home I had a wine from the power steering (wasn't there b4 hand)
Once I got home i left the car to settle for an hour or so just incase a bit of air had got into the system and the problem seemed to have sorted itself for the 1st mile then came back.
My Question is could moving the steering from left to right via the wheels of caused some damage to the pump in any way, Ive since removed the reservoir to see the state of play regarding the filter, doesnt seem to be anything untowards (I understand you cant see a lot of the filter but just had a look out of interest more than anything)

Sure the 1st job it replace the reservoir and fluid (checked and in stock) but why would an mot check over start the problem?

Glad you got it fixed Thumbs Up

If anyone hears a whine from the power steering pump, get it booked in immediately.
If you continue to drive the car with the whine, it could cost you a new pump and rack which is £££££'s rather than the 34 quid it cost steve t Thumbs Up Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
