I've fitted them to my MY13 Black Edition. I did this purely for cosmetic purposes as I thought the blanking plates made the front of the car look bland, IMO.

if you are doing it for cosmetic purposes only, like myself you will need to purchase -
1. Fog light housing units
2. Fog lights
3. Bezels

I managed to source mine through a dismantler via e-bay. I bought a badly damaged front bumper but it was complete with the undamaged items as above. I got the lot for £60, a bargin !!!

You can't remove the blanking plates from the front as they are heat tab welded to the bumper. To do this you have to remove the bumper. Used Stanleydore's thread on this which made the job much easier, many thanks.

Once removed you need to slice off the tab welds with a stanley knife and the blanking plates will drop out. You them need to heat tab weld the housing units in place over the locating lugs mounted on the bumper. I used a soldering iron for this which worked very well. I then refitted the bumper, fiited the fog lights and bezels. Job done and very easy to do.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the detailed information. Thumbs Up
