Auto box squeal

Greetings from Sunny Wales Very Happy
I've got a 2009 auto Freelander 2 2.2 diesel 44k on the clock.Sometimes the box squeals on starting off.I thought maybe a fluid change, but now having seen the service intervals I ain't so sure.Belts seem tight enough.....
Beautiful car to drive mind.

What makes you so certain the box is at fault

Well I dunno,something's squealing,it ain't me because I checked. Wink It's commensurate with starting off,doing a right/left at junctions as well,not all the time,like something slipping so I assume it's the box.It's a different sound to belt slippage.Just wondered if there's a common problem.

Pour water on the engine belts then pull away, if it stops squealing, then you know it's the belts.

Does it squeal every time ?
