2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Santorini Black

No sunroof! Tbh sounds like you've got from top notch to not a lot I understand you want an auto but it's neither here or there just put your rear 13 lights on and stick a dynamic kit on its only done 63k ! It'll go double that easy without too much expense and you can save up for a range rover When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car

2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Bali Blue

Thats what put me off the dynamic after having 2 HSE's. Personally I would miss things like the sunroof. You can add the UK Plus pack which lifts the Dynamic to almost HSE spec but thats another £2.5K and I havent seen one advertised second hand with the Plus Pack. Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black

But do I want a Range Rover? No.

When you actually look at the spec differences, there is not really that much difference.

I lose :-

Sunroof
Memory for the seats, but Dynamic still has electric
Footwell lights
Xenon Headlights, but then again HSE's don't have them as standard unless you go for a LUX
Self Dimming rear view mirror
Humidity Sensor
11 Speaker Meridean compared to HSE's 17 speaker Meridean. Mine is the 14 speaker, so this is one area I will miss.

But other than that, there is not much difference.

I am simply not prepared to spend £30k + on a 2013MY HSE.

I have to compare the Dynamic to what HSE I have now, not what an HSE is now.

So I gain over my car :-

SD4 Auto
Dynamic Kit
Two Tone Leather Trim
LED lights
Signature Headlights (Which will be converted to Xenon)
The latest Evoque technology and infotainment system

What I like about the Dynamic is that it feels a lot younger than an HSE in terms of styling etc.

When I look at what I am losing, it is not that much. Footwell lights can be added, Xenon headlights can be added.

Don't get me wrong, I still love the way mine drives. There is not one rattle or squeak anywhere and it still looks good.

But I want to create my idea of what the Dynamic should have been. So I can live without the little bits I have lost. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

You also have to bare in mind that this is the Mrs car in reality, not mine.

Not forgetting that you will also have over two years warranty, you won't know at this point what that could be worth. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Well that didn't go to plan!

Got to the dealers this morning and the Dynamic we put a deposit on had more paintwork than a Picasso painting!

So we rejected it.

So a new post beckons I think!
