Anyway, I am looking to buy a FL2 and have narrowed the search to one of the above.

Budget is c£25K so probably looking at 2011 cars.

Must be an auto (wife has a dodgy back).

What are the pros and cons of each model?

Mmm. That's a bit of a drawback to be honest.

Yes it was a bad decision by LR to not have xenons as standard on the top spec model. Many have complained about the standard lights and the projector MY11 onward type I believe are even worse. Thats why I opted for xenons when i changed my FL2 back in 2011. To be honest not many used FL2's tend to have the xenons - think it was because of the extra price on top of what is an already expensive car. Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black

HSE Lux cars from 2013MY have Xenons as standard.

I have the adaptive Xenons and I would go without them. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

I got Xenon's on my 20110MY manual XS. Didn't order them but the car came with them anyway and I wasn't going to complain. Problem is having had Xenon's I don't want to go back to anything else!!!

Having owned my FL2 HSE for a year or so now, I'd rather drive the Sport. I had one for a week as a loan car and it is a totally different driving experience. When I got back in my car, it felt loose and baggy compared to the Sport.

Depends on your priorities really. If you want gadgets, get the HSE. If you want a really good drive, get the Sport. Whereabouts unknown stop going to follow stream until reach civilisation stop message ends

Does the Sport LE have heated seats as standard?
