I went to view a 93my disco some years ago which had got so hot that there were big holes in the bonnet and doors.
Transpired the dealer had fitted driving lights and poked an unfused cable from the battery and between the bulkhead grommet and the bulkhead.
Didn't take long before it abraded through the insulation and several hundred amps did the rest.
The owners young family only just got out in time.......... Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
