I would be interested in hearing views of members on this one. I have a 10 plate FL2 with 42K miles and the clutch is slipping. I didn't buy it from a LR dealer. Since the car is 6 months out of warranty I approached LR via a dealer and they have come back saying that they will pay 33% of the cost of a repair. I checked their prices against having it done at a very competent independent landrover specialist and there is not much difference given the cheaper hourly rates. However I have been reminded that the LR offer is not a commitment and that when they get it all apart they might not decide to replace the dual mass flywheel or might decide that it's fair wear and tear etc. I am minded to go the independent route as at least I will know what I am up against. What do you think?

if you go with the independent at least you know all will be done and also done properly.
