England 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 Dynamic Manual Fuji White

Well garage i bought the FL from has offered to paint + fit a facelift bumper for £150 ( i supply bumper), they do a good job as the bumper on now was resprayed due to a scuff so i know there work is good.
£250ish for a facelift seems reasonable Thumbs Up

Thanks Slaneydore - i found the seller on ebay so will keep an eye out the next few weeks - don't want to do everything at once or there'll be nothing to do, boredom will set in and i'll end up trading in again Laughing

Bumper bought Thumbs Up
There was a grey one on ebay for £105 inc postage - seller says all fixing points/ fog holders intact so bought it and having it sent to garage for them to paint - should be ready for next weekend hopefully?

Slaneydore - did you have the grille surround colour coded on yours?

Ah - can see the difference now, is this the standard finish (matt)?
Just hoping the grille on the bumper i've bought is unmarked otherwise i'll have to have it painted as well - not sure if i should colour code it if it does need painting?

It's more of a satin Matt finish Rob
When my bumper went in for paint, the grill surround and bumper needed spraying so to save a bit of money so it only needed to go in the oven twice I decided to get the surround colour coded with the bumper, plus it had a few marks on the surround... but once I got it all fitted on the freely something didn't look right about it Confused
So I ended up buying another bumper just for the surround Shocked

gutted - garage phone today to say the bumper has been delivered.
The ebay seller said it had a few scratches and the scuffs on the arch part, the garage has said the whole bumper looks like it's been dragged about and both parts of the grill need painting as well Mad and due to the extra work req and the extra paint it's now going to be £300 to paint.
I've emailed the seller to see what he will do (not holding my breath) so if i have to do i -
buy another used bumper from RC on ebay (and hope the grilles are unmarked) - cost £130-£140 + £150 paint
have this bumper painted at £300? colour coding surround and matt silver centre

just ordered a pair of fog grilles as well last night Sad

ok, ebay seller has agread to collect the bumper and give a full refund so i've now emailed RC to see what they have in stock (hopefully unmarked grill sections)

Got photos from the garage and it looks like the bumper i bought has been resprayed - grille surround and centre section are colour coded to bumper???????

Hey Rob,

I've bought a facelift bumper from RC Automotive - I can confirm I have scuff marks on both the grill and the bumper too, so both will also need painting. (Although the grill isn't too bad and could be touched up).

I haven't got a price yet for the re-spray but I'll let you know once I do Thumbs Up The BEST looking half of the famous Twinlanders Ner Ner

Hi Carriec - the garage said they could still paint the one i got but the extra prep and paint would double the quote they gave and the finish wouldn't be the same as origional as they didn't have the correct paint codes.

I'd prefer a bumper with a mint grille + surround so just the bumper part paint wouldn't be a problem

RC still haven't replied - i'll give them a call tommorow.

Did they say your bumper was unmarked on the grill?
