Hi rovertoo if you go to the land rover website click on owners, learn about your land rover, handbooks and manuals, and that will direct you to the owners information site and in there you will find instructions on how to fit a tow bar and it will show you step by step how to remove the bumper hope this helps

It would be quicker to get someone to hold the rear bumper and remove the car Rolling with laughter Freelander 2 - SE

Thanks for the info....this is gold!!! I still haven't started with the project.... I just moved and have been taking care of other stuff, but as soon as I have some time I'll put that hitch..

No problem,

I didn't have to raise the car or take the wheels off.

The only other thing I have missed out was the template for the bumper cut.

Thumbs Up

Why do the under wheel arch mud guards need removing though?

And my big question... When all the screws and bolts are out, how does one actually remove the bumper?

Is it by bending the bumper away from the rest of the body or is there another hidden bolt not shown...

You see that I have arrived thus far, but am a bit stuck: I am frightened of breaking something.

I found out that you don't need to remove the mud guard, but there are two screws behind it that need to be removed.

Does anyone have any advice for the front bumper?

Cheers.
