Strange, I rather thought that what I said was that Phantasy was older English style and perfectly acceptable (if a viewed by some as a little archaic) and that fantasy was a more "American" style. Your post is quite a complex piece to de-construct but I think, in the end, that you are saying nothing different? My use of the word "current" merely reflects the reality of American spelling of words being increasingly used and accepted in this country. I am astonished that I should be challenged for the use of the spelling of phantasy in the first place and even more astonished by anyone being bothered enough to write a short treatise on the subject. I will now return to using the forum as a reference site for matters concerning FL2's and rather hope others do too! |
