Thanks for your input everyone, it's really appreciated! Thumbs Up

Unfortunately, there's no getting around the 129g limit after all Big Cry So, no more FL2, although I will be hanging on to it for as long as possible, which will mean I can keep it until the end of June Very Happy

That does mean that the only viable alternatives are, in order of preference:

1. XF estate Probably too expensive, but I'll keep a look out for decent contract hire offerings in the spring - you never know!

2. Vauxhall Cresta/Duracell thingy. Actually, I did have one for nearly a week and it was okay.

3. Evoque 3 door, 2WD. That'll be a very distant third then... Rolling Eyes Interesting to see that the Vauxhall has come out higher than the Evoque in the poll. And the 3 door / 2WD version is definitely the worst of of a bad bunch.

John.

I had my Freelander 2 2009 model SE on a 58 plate for just under 5 years and loved it but last year started having a few niggling problems with power steering pump packing up and a series of electrical gremlins with windows and complete doors dying but hadn't given up on them, a year ago I test drove a Yeti and was very impressed. In june this year I was looking at ex demos and various other things and out of the blue got offered a very good deal on a Yeti L&K 4x4 140 Diesel dsg and I have to say having had it for 4 months absolutely love it, I'm getting 40-45 mpg on the Isle of Wight which is about 10 more than I got from my manual FL2 and for the off roading I do with my fishing and dogs it seems more than capable for what I need. I went from FL1(TD4) to FFRR to D3 to FL2 (which I knew I must have after I went to the launch) to Yeti and have enjoyed all of them and none of them have seemed like a backwards step and I wouldn't rule out returning to a landrover in the future but at the moment I am more than happy with the Yeti. Just a few thoughts from someone who has moved from away from long term FL2 ownership and I would like to thank everyone on here for help and advice I have received over the years, I still have a browse of the forums most weeks.
