United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Stornoway Grey

Went from a TD5 to a new Discovery 3 in 2006.The Discovery was very nice but I struggled to get 26 mpg and it handled like a boat.Bought a new FL2 which was only available in a manual at the time and it was great. After 12 months I bought a new FL2 SE AUTO in December 2007 which I still have.Unless you really need the extra space,or are doing some serious off road work, then the FL2 is great.FL2 is better looking, easier to park, handles better, not much slower, cheaper to service and I get 36mpg. Stornaway grey SE auto with 18" alloys

England 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Fuji White

On 1st March this year I left my TD5 at the dealers and drove off in a new FL2.

At first I missed my disco and looked lovingly at every D2 I came across BUT

In four years of ownership it cost me £9000 in repairs, maintenance and depreciation, and ran at 22 mpg.

I now love my Freelander, its quicker, nearly as comfy, better in the snow and does 30 mpg. The dalmatian has just enough room in the back. Any load I've caried so far has also fit into the load space adequately.

It's hard at first but you'll get over it and life will be good again!!

Incredibly close!

I have a Rohan store franchise and previously worked for a bus company called Yorkshire Rider.

United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Ipanema Sand

And it's home.

Care is going to be required - I suddenly realised quite how far over the speed limit I was and had to slow down a bit!

And I have a very big grin on my face, not least of all because I have never, ever driven a car that will do that to a speed bump.

And by that, I mean make it completely disappear. No, really. The Td5 crashed over it, the wife's Peugeot bounces over it, and this just ignored it.

29mpg on the way home, and that involved some exploring of the acceleration capabilities on the way.
