??? When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car |

Salisbury Plain is a lot cheaper so long as you know the rules * GONE. GS TD4 Manual MY2013. Orkney Grey with privacy, cold and clearview packs, armrests (a must!) and a spoiler.

From my experience over the years of pay and play sites, you would not want to take a Freelander anywhere near one. Too many in £50 Fronteras and the like flying around( sometimes literally) and lots of ruts that even a standard Defender would get hooked up on. If you don't have rigger boots, misspelt tattoos and possibly a wolf themed fleece you are considered too posh , so you can imagine how welcome 'plastic' Land Rovers would be!

My sentiments exactly, a £50 Frontera and a >£15,000 FL2 do not mix on these 'turn up and play' days. Wheels spinning, debris flying, full throttle to get over their 4 wheel drive inadequacies, nah not for me.

If you go to a pay and play day at one of the LR Experience Centres you'll get a LRE Instructor leading the convoy of vehicles and talking you through each obstacle and if you don't like the look of a particular obstacle there is always an alternative route and LRE Freelanders will do the routes on a daily basis.
