Who Needs Four Wheel Drive.

As the topic says. Who needs four wheel drive and come to that it would make a great rally car.

He almost pulls it on top of himself when righting it!

It's amazing how well skinny tyres cope with bad conditions. I was once stranded in snow in a Volvo 850 estate that had quite wide tyres when a Citroen 2CV with skinny tyres and a tiny engine sailed by. It must be something about the pressure on the contact surface. I am sure the more technically minded will supply a formula! - 2007(57) XS Auto, Rimini Red, Alpaca Leather.

Skinny tires, great ground clearance and very lightweighted. So completely different to most nowadays SUV's. MY2013, 2.2 TD4 SE fuji white
man. gearbox, xenon, "small" Meridian, 7" satnav, autom. aircon, RV-cam, heated jets/windscreen/seats/wheel

Skinny tyres bite through the surface until they reach something they can get a grip on whereas fatties sit there and work and compress the surface.

No such thing as low profile then. All skinny radials with tubes!
