Any caravanners had a problem with the spacing between the back of the car and the tow ball on a fixed factory fitted tow bar when using the above towing hitch/stabiliser unit?

Do I need any modifications or does the standard fitting work fine?

Thanks for any help. Thumbs Up

I have an Alko 3004 on the van, car has LR swaneck fixed towbar - all works fine - no problems with clearances either when hitching up or on the move. Typically swanecks do provide all the necessary clearances without any problems.

England 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Sumatra Black

I have the same swan neck and no problems. I did purchase towbar and wiring loom seperately and could have fitted myself, however, I was unsure whether the cars system would be o.k. by just plugging in and decided to let LR fit. I was also ensure whether warranty would be o.k.by self fit. Anyway, 3 hours job done and saved me swearing and sweating but not the cost! Freelander 2 - SE
