Headlight bulb questions

Hi peeps
I've got a 2013 fl2 hse with the projector lights and I want to go from the rather dull light to a whiter light but not with the expense of changing to xenon. Through trial and error I found out that the headlight bulbs have changed from h7 to h11, but, the h7 fits but the electrical connection is different and the h11 has the right electric connection but the bulb hasn't got the 3 side pins around the edge to lock it in, if that makes sense...
Please help someone
Many thanks

There is a new Osram upgrade for the HB3 being launched in October, it will replace the Night Breaker, will post details as soon as known. Paul Redding

We bought the Halfords Extreme at work, they didn't last very long, in three months were they were no longer any working ones remaining. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

I upgraded my old 2007 Freelander headlights to the 2010MY projector ones and found the long life (LL) bulbs dim and yellow - upgraded to Ring Xenon Ultima 120% and much whiter and brighter... have just done the same with my new Freelander with the HB3 bulbs - you can get them from a Ford dealer on Ebay for less than £20 including postage. Well worth it. 2016 BMW X3 30d SE in red
