Has anybody heard of or know anything about the heater getting confused.

Some new 2013 Freelander's without climate control have experienced this, mine being one of them. Your Freelander needs a software update on the heater module. Your local dealer should know about this update, if not ask them to speak to LR Technical. |

you mean with out the automatic temprature control.

Hi yes, same here the basic manual air con unit. Its a known issue with these in 2013 models. |
