Correct type of lamps

Hi,

I have a 2013 TD4XS and wish to purchase some spare lamps for the lights. Unfortunately the details in the handbook (Page 165) appear to be incorrect. Can anyone please advise me as to the exact type and wattage of the front and rear indicator lamps, the high level brake light and the reversing and fog lamps.

Many thanks

Just to correct Chicken George's helpful post if the car is an MY13 model with halogens + DRL's then it will have single bulb dip/main so the bulb is and HB3 not H7

Halogen main beam is H7 and dipped is H11

Oh I see.

I've just replaced my dipped bulbs with Halfords Ultra Brilliance jobs so I'm glad i decided to leave the mains for now otherwise I'd have bought the wrong ones!

Thanks for the info.

Hi,

Thank you all for your time and effort. Unfortunately I believe that the handbook is incorrect, for instance the right hand diagram on page 151 shows the old rear light not the latest and the adjacent write up is therefore incorrect as to the location of the lamps. Also the table on page 165 (reproduced here) is also incorrect.

Lamp Specification Power (Watts)
Halogen headlamp (low and high beam) HB3 55
Xenon headlamp (low and high beam) D1S 35
Front direction indicators PY21W 21
Rear direction indicators PY21W 21
Front fog lamps H11 55
Side repeater lamps W5W 5
Reverse lamps P21W 21
Rear fog lamps P21W 21
Number plate lamps W5W 5
Puddle lamps W5W 5
All Interior lamps W5W 5

Note: there is no reference to the high level brake light and I believe that the wattage and type of lamps used for the rear indicators is also incorrect.

I think I will post this on the Land Rover Customers Relation Forum to see if I can get a definitive answer.

Thanks for the help and assistance.

That doesn't sound promising! What was the problem?

I'm impressed so far - certainly brighter than the hopeless OEM bulbs and with a better 'quality' of light. Having said that, I have carefully kept the old ones...just in case! Smile
