Good places for photography include:

Cadgwith - archetypal Cornish fishing village
Lerryn - lovely village on tidal creek
Hell's Mouth (on the coast road from St. Agnes to Hayle) - fabulous cliff scenery
Godrevy beach - coves, rocks and lighthouse just north of Hayle
Bedruthan Steps - more cliffs, this time north of Newquay.

Don't forget our great beach here in Perranporth if you want a good seaside day with the kids. Go to Fistral Beach in Newquay if you want to surf on serious waves.

Enjoy yourself, it's a fabulous county made even better by being many miles away from Yo£$%^ire Twisted Evil Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto

There's doctors who can treat cornishpastiephobia nowadays Taz

Padstow, boscastle, tintagle (great pastie shop right at end of high street) lovely area of the coast

St Ives, great if you like been beaten up by seagulls dive bombing you for anything that looks edible

Anywhere that sells scones, jam and real clotted cream Bow down Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Padstow's pretty good for aerobatic seagulls too!

One abiding memory of St.Ives is from last year - standing on the harbour wall at mid-tide, with about 3-4 feet of water in and the boats all afloat, watching a thumping great porbeagle shark circling them!

Fairly high tide due this evening (about 7 metres) but too cool for swimming today. Hopefully dry tomorrow 'cos we're playing golf at Falmouth.

It's a great county - well worth the trip down. Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto

Thanks for all the mentions, I have saved them all on my Google Map App thingy and can clearly see a good few routes to take now! Now all I need is a recommendation of a good restaurant for Thursday eve (Mrs B's birthday!) or it may all be in vain Whistle

Two good hotel restaurants, both with great sea views, are the Headland at Newquay and the Carbis Bay Hotel near St. Ives. Idle Rocks at St. Mawes used to be excellent but they've recently changed their head chef so I'm not sure about the new man. None of these is cheap but they're good.

One left field suggestion, and I'm not sure if they're still open in September, is the restaurant on the beach at Lusty Glaze, Newquay. It's reached by parking the car at the top of the cliff in the car park, then walking down steps to the beach. Good quality cafe-style food rather than Michelin restaurant but a fabulous position. Good way to walk off excess calories when returning to the car! Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto

We are staying on a farm near St Just for the week. Off to the Minnack open-air theatre later in the week to see "taming of the shrew". I hope it doesn't rain. Trying out a local real ale free house nearby tonight at Trewellard as it is within walking distance. Walked to the Levant tin mine today to see the steam winding engine in action - free if you are a National Trust member.

Not tried any local eateries yet. - 2007(57) XS Auto, Rimini Red, Alpaca Leather.
- GCS Hawke - Sports, BRG, Vulcan 2.1 inj'. My toy - built it myself in 2001.

That sounds good! My favourite local ale comes in bottle only, called Cornish Mutiny from the Wooden Hand Brewery in Truro. Luvverly Thumbs Up Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto

Some great places suggested here!

If you get to St Ives the pasties and bread from the shop on the corner of Fore Street and The Digey are the best.

Trip Advisor will give you some ideas for restaurants - we use it whenever we are somewhere we don't know and have only been disappointed once.

Well, just returned from a mostly dry Cornwall. 950 miles round trip, 6+ hours each way. Plenty of memories and fantastic driving conditions with all those less than single lane roads (more like paths) up and over many hills!! Not used to hills here in the east! Anyway thanks for all the suggestions, we managed to get to most, if not all and some new ones thanks to Google maps. Here is a quick shot taken from the Falmouth Ferry on Wed.
