I discovered today that a warning is given when the washer fluid is low. I don't remember seeing this in the specs, is it a standard feature on all variations of FLR2. Does anyone know of any other unpublished gizmo's? Freelander 2 - SE

Thanks phil_wkl, I will pore over my handbook again, I certainly missed that one! . I discovered the alternate light washer, I think this was one aspect that led me to discover the low fluid warning!

Screen wash water must be expensive at the land-rover factory as they put next to non in my car when they made it, or is that the dealers job? |

cg it might not be parsimony but the volume at which the vehicle was homologated at. After all you wouldnt expect the vehicle to do all those tests at full weight now would you. Suggest everybody checks the boot and back seat for unnecessary luggage, it costs to lug superfluous weight. Must start that promised Lent diet next year still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit |

its laziness! also a dealer will always fill the reservoir up at your expense during a service so why not start ownership with a full bottle. it is a bit big though 4 kettles if I recall. |

You`d have thought in this day and age that they`d be using a plastic container like other car makers, not old kettles!! Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly! |

Mine floods also, and the dealer says it's not supposed to do that. They tried to fix it at the first service, but have now ordered a replacement part. Looking in the manual, you can adjust the front windshield nozzles, but not the one for the back window. |
