never Don't worry, I always upload low res versions of images to help stop the TWOCAS, but yes my camera automatically adds a copyright notice to the EXIF data. It's not a huge problem, Flickr and other photo sites also rip the exif data out which is annoying as some of those images are quite high res. On balance, the location information that is removed is more important, I wonder how many people didn't realise that many of there photo's had this info attached without them knowing? If anyone is worried about theft of images then uploading at a resolution of 72dpi will prevent large copies from being made and also helps the servers as the file is much smaller, I must admit, I forget to do this sometimes. |

Don't think it was from a "stealing a car" point of view, more to try to prevent people stalking others. It was in the news how some people use the data to do this. |
