Drivers Electric Window Problem Can Anyone Help?

Hi all,

Whilst returning from work the other day my drivers electric window decided to slip down half way.
When I pressed the button there was a crunching sound from behind the door panel and the window didn't go back up.
Because it is a weekend I could not get it into a garage, does anyone know what has happened and how I can fix this problem soonest as I have had to temporary wedge the window shut with cardboard...
Many thanks
Jay

Ouch...
The plastics of the window's mechanism have gave up the ghost... You'll need to replace them.

Thank you, do you know if it is a costly job and where can I source the materials from, to fix the problem...

As always, first step is to open the thing up and see what's the (real) problem...
For reaching the window mechanism and motor, there are a few threads here to set you on the right path.
As for the costs, when you'll know who is the "culprit", then you'll find the part number and...

Using "Search"... Very Happy
