BT57HHE silver HSE-Avoid

Hi all

just a heads up to any potential buyers, I recently managed to return this car to the so called dealer that sold it with undisclosed faults which would have cost around £2000 to correct.

hope this prevents someone buying a head ache

Thanks

Re: BT57HH: Importance of test driving

Well done Jnjsse,

in 2018 I wanted an i6 to replace an ageing P38 V8. I test drove about 4 of them - all black. I eventually settled on a low mileage example which ticked all the boxes.

The day after I bought it, starting the engine from stone cold for the first time, it ran roughly then cleared itself after a few minutes. It did the same the next morning – and the next.

I did some investigation and eventually spoke to the garage that had serviced it a year earlier. "There's problem with that engine..." said the bloke.

Cut a long story short, after a few wasted trips to a LR main dealer and a Volvo garage, I returned the car to the dealer within 14 days for a full refund. No questions asked.

Now happily enjoying BN08AHL which I bought from Mortimer Cars Basingstoke. Great company that specialises in Mazda Mx5 and Land Rovers.
