Just to put a damper on the French speedy thing, it is actually taken from the gross train weight figure shown on the vin plate, stick any trailer on the Freelander and your speed limit falls to 56mph, the logic of our friends across the water takes some wondering, as the way the law is written means you can stick a 1500kg trailor or caravan on the back of a Golf and drive unrestricted, put a 900kg trailor/caravan on the back of a Freebie and you are immediatly restricted to the lower speeds and are supposed to display the 80 & 90kph plates on the back of the trailor as well.........how much notice to the Gendarmarie take? I know not, but their are a few caravans about with the new speed stickers displayed. |

Incorrect on the stickers, the stickers are only required on French registered vehicles and not on private trailers and caravans attached to UK vehicles. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |
