I seem to remember a couple of threads recently along similar lines. Try the search facility, you'll probably find some useful information. |

My dealer fixed mine, but I believe it's a door card off And replace mechanism job, as suggested search will bring more info up as I think someone did a DIY job on it Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

It sounds like the latch, mine was similar, anouying as mine was just two months out of warranty. Dealer will charge around 200 quid. Mike@LR got me some goodwill on mine. Some people have fixed it themselves, I didn't feel confident doing it myself as you have to take out the window winder mechanism to get the latch out. I have a similar problem on my 08 reg FL2 in that if I lock the car then the passenger side rear door will still open and set off the alarm. However if I lock the car twice ie I press the button twice then all doors are locked ok. Similarly for unlocking, I have to press the button a second time (actually a third time given the way that landrovers unlock) to get that door open. |
