Leaving the freelander
Hi all it is with sadness that the deal was done last saturday to replace our freelander , it will be two years old on the 17th of October and the new car arrives at the end of November , we are down sizing big time , now having read lots and lots of reliable issues's on the forum I was very nearly put off buying one but ours has been absolutely brilliant only been back to the dealers once for a service , however we both have decided we are paying far to much for our car in buying it and the running costs so she is going , and being replaced by a Audi a1 s line black edition , with a 140 cylinder on demand engine and s tonic gearbox , , comes with 5 years free servicing £20 road tax , and manufactors fuel figures of 60mpg but that will be more like 45mpg plus it petrol and that's cheaper too we have had to new minis in the past so the size won't be an issue , so looking forward to saving some cash but will miss the Landy as its a pleasure to drive but at the end of November she going if any one is interested .

Super unleaded petrol?
I wonder if this is another of the new generation of high powered small engined petrol cars that need to run on super unleaded. A lot of buyers have been caught out and are not happy having to buy the more expensive fuel.
Enjoy your new car

Good luck with the new motor
This is where LR need a family friendly SUV smaller than the Fl2 and not badged as a Range Rover, with economical petrol and Diesel engines, I think it would sell well.21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Cheers, the new car will run on standard petrol it's not really high powerd having only 140bhp although it's only ten less than our fl2 it should be quite nippy , my son picks up his new mini cooper s on the first of September so it will be quite good to compare.
