My brothers upgrading his surround sound speakers and i have a oppotunity to upgrade my speakers

What are peoples opinions of the KEF eggs and SUb woofer which are HTS2001.3 system and a set of KEF IQ50 floor standing speakers

His upgrading to Monitor Audio silver RX8 or something and some other Monitor Audio Apex or something (wasn't really listening ) Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

It's a nice piece of kit with the sub

Sounds like Nice set up with the floor standing speakers. I just had the 4eggs with the centre and sub and it sounded nice so I can only imaging it will sound even better with the IQ50s

And your right about the Bose, the sub needs to be placed just right to get the full effect.. You can even pay Bose to come out to set it up to get the best sound from it, I'm thinking they charge you enough for the equipment so I think that should be a free option  BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

Ask if you can "test" it first

I had a KEF Egg as a centre speaker which was great. Lasted ~12 years before it tore recently

Now I have a B&W speaker, with a new Yamaha Amp controlled via a brilliant iPad App, and all I can say is WOW!

Well I did the deal

Got the eggs, the IQ50 fronts and the kube2 sub will be here next week when his new amp arrives
