Had 3 thunderstorms here since yesterday evening. I was out walking the dogs last night when I saw the clouds bubbling up and we had a brief storm. The one this morning about 5:30 was awesome though. Woke me up and the dogs started barking. Very loud thunder and the heavy rain caused localised flooding.

Indeed. I do miss the FL2 and have got a set of conti TS850's ready for winter but flood avoidance mode duly activated! What is great about the fiesta is how much money it's saving me (hugely important at the mo). Free tax, £55 fill up, 60mpg seen on a good run, 360 ish miles from a full tank and still running in. Handles brilliantly and coped well with the heavy rain in terms of handling etc. Back on topic, a house in Heanor which isn't far away from me, was hit by lightning and the roof caught fire! Neighbours have said that there was some thunder this morning and a quick shower, but apparently it's been dry the rest of the day. It's even rained here in Spain today. Been overcast and the air was full of drizzle. Cleared up now it's getting dark. |

I'm currently north of Bourdeaux. Been hot and cloudy today, very muggy. Had a short shower this evening but no heavy rain yet. Back in the UK on Tuesday. |
