Wales 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Sumatra Black

The leather seat,,s give you a nice send off as you hurtle into the mist and clagg of the mountains, the fact that you cant see where your going makes not a jot of difference.

Personally I could not justify almond leather as all the sheep sh*t would ruin the seats /carpets up here
(rubber mat,s are the order of the day) besides the local car wash would be used every week ,(they would be Millionaires in 6 months all themfull valets for £25 ) as against 3 times a year whether it needs it or NOT at present !!

Sheep Sheep Thumbs Up Wales
Were the mud is thicker, and the ruts are deeper.
(And we have the water to wash it off, and more on the way..! )

Can anyone tell me if the almond (lighter colour) is any cooler than the black leather seats in this hot weather. MY 2013 TD4 XS Manual, Ipanema Sand. Cold Climate Pack, Spare Wheel, Side Mouldings, Armrest Pack, Rear Camera, Detachable Tow Bar, Spoiler.

I can personally vouch that the almond leather is (probably) no cooler than ebony in this weather. I got back to my car last week after it had stood in the sun all day and it was way too hot to lean back into the seat!!!

I like the lighter colors and in later years I may go that way but for now black is the order of the day having kids....

Still at least its not piped leather.... I dont like that.

You'll regret it!

I know it's a hike, but why not talk to forum sponsor James at Hadley Green - he may be able to sort out something which makes it worth the trip. (I've not dealt with him personally, but I believe he's sorted out other forum members. Can't hurt to ask.)

The x-trail may be a decent car, but if I thought it was better than the FL I'd be driving one! I suspect the same goes for most of us here, unsurprisingly. Same goes for the Forester I had before the FL - decent enough car, but not as good as the FL.

Personal choice I suppose, brought on sometimes by how you are treated by the dealers. I have found that my local dealer has no loyalty towards its previous customers. This along with other dealers I contacted when thinking of buying a my13 put me off of buying another. I'm not saying I am rushing out to change to something else as I still enjoy the FL2 but I don't know whether I would give £38k to any of the dealers I spoke to!

Sorry gilfishman, went off on a tangent with your topic. Embarassed
