Evoque 19" style 5 alloys (fitted)

The new alloys came today, so hopefully get them on soon.

I'm pleased with the wheel choice, I think they will look good when fitted plus they were a bargin £810 delivered, the tyres have full tread having only driving from the dealer to the garage.

Will post pics when fitted. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Just out of interest, does your car have tinted windows?

That's a shame. Sad It seems that you forgot a few things to your order. Laughing

I don't like the aftermarket tints, as they show up the elements in the back screen. Sad

There is a few things that I intended to put on the car that have slipped through the net Laughing

The alloys work out cheaper as the 19s like yours are a £900 option on a XS, from eBay my new wheels were £810 delivered with less than 50miles covered, so a £90 saving plus I have my existing wheels to sell that will cover the costs.

As for the tints I'm not a fan of aftermarket tints, they don't look as good as the OEM darkened glass.

Overall though I'm happy with the car as is, just a few personal touches to be added. Thumbs Up 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Australia 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Fuji White

Personally I went for after-market tinting as all my windows consequently look equal from the outside on my white HSE. Privacy glass makes in particular a lighter coloured vehicle look like a bread van, IMO.

I unintentionally benefited from the film tint when a rock hit the driver's side window out of Menindee, NSW, some 250km from the nearest glass repair shop. The film held the shattered glass in place until the last couple of km, and given that it was winter and raining, this made the trip somewhat bearable. The dealer said in the past he'd heard of people being seriously injured by the flying glass pieces when untinted/unlaminated side glass breaks, particularly vulnerable being the eyes (not so good when you're moving at a decent clip).

The bang the bloody thing went off with, combined with the window instantly becoming opaque, very nearly sent me right off the dirt road for the fright it gave me and the natural instinct to steer away from the action. As it was I collected paint damage to the front off-side bumper by grazing some discarded barbed wire fencing at the verge.

In Australia we're legally allowed 35% tint to the front windows, so all of them at 35% tint looks/is both cool and affords plenty of privacy.

Need to wait a little longer, hopefully by the end of next week they will be on the car.

I think they will look good. My only big headache at the moment is, do I keep the black centre caps which came with the wheels on or take the ones from my current wheels?

Decisions decisions. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

I'd keep the silver centre caps. I don't like the black ones. IMO of course. Thumbs Up
